MEET NICHOLAS

Nicholas is from Valparaiso, Indiana and currently lives in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife and two daughters. For the last 10+ years he has engaged in property development, public policy, and risk management work through Phoenix Policy Consulting and prior employers, playing a part in the progress of clients, employers, and his community.  Nicholas is an active member in the Bloomington Community, serving on non-profit Boards and volunteering with local organizations.

• B.S., Policy Analysis/Public Affairs from Indiana University - School of Public and Environmental Affairs

• Master of Public Affairs, Non-Profit Management from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis

• 2020 - 2021 Commissioner on the Bloomington Redevelopment Commission

• 2018 - 2019 - Ex-Officio Representative on the Monroe County Plan Commission

• 2018 - 2020 - Member of the Bloomington Board of Zoning Appeals

• 2016 - 2020 - Commissioner on the Bloomington Planning Commission

• 2015 - 2019 - Chair of the Bloomington Environmental Commission

RISK MANAMGENET EXPERIENCE

Nicholas is a Certified Risk Manager, a Certified Environmental Strategist, and a licensed Insurance Consultant via The State of Indiana. He has worked on managing client risks via insurance program reviews and risk program implementation in areas including, but not limited to: contracts, general liability, residential and commercial property, auto liability, global cargo, aviation (aircraft and forward base of operations), workers compensation, errors and omissions (professional liability), and pollution liability. ​
